Using an SMS Gateway for Mobile Communication | aligharib.com

A Short Message Service message, or SMS message, is also known as a text message. These messages consist of short text messages that can be routed through an sms gateway to and from mobile phones. Many cell phones support SMS messages. A phone has a keypad that allows a person to type in letters as well. Each number key has several letters associated with it. By tapping a given number a few times, the appropriate letter may be selected. This allows any cell phone to produce text messages. However, there are cell phones better suited for typing. For example, some cell phones have full QWERTY keyboards for typing messages. These can either be physical keyboards, or virtual keyboards. A virtual keyboard usually exists only on touchscreen devices. These devices display a keyboard on the touchscreen, which senses where the user?s finger happens to press. This lets a person type a message directly on the screen.
